Every time there is some civil uncertainty or unusual signs in the sky the experts on eschatology in the west, particularly in the United States, begin hyperventilating the hype of the great tribulation.
I want us to consider some things about the great tribulation.
- Jesus told several of His disciples they and the generation they lived in would see the horrific events called the great tribulation.
- Jesus also said that the world had not seen anything like what they would experience nor would the world ever see anything that would compare with what they would experience.
- Look and see how many times Jesus uses the words “you’ and ‘your’ in Matthew 24 and 25. Please keep the context in view meaning, among other things, who asked Him the questions He answered. [Hint: Read Mark 13]
- Future great tribulation proponents want us to disbelieve Jesus and all sound hermeneutical exegesis on the Olivet Discourse.
- The only places on planet earth today where a future great tribulation can be believed is in cushy churches in comfortable western, or rich nations.
- If a future great tribulation message was preached in the vast majority of Christian assemblies in non western comfy churches the people hearing that message would die laughing.
- Imagine with me for a moment going to a secret Christian assembly in China, or Iran, or some other “unfriendly to Christ nation”, and telling the saints there to get ready for all hell is about to break loose. Those saints would look at you like you were out of your mind.
- Christians in most parts of the planet fear for their life everyday.
- Christians are being martyred at a rate never seen before in church history as the future tribulation believing experts sit securely and smugly in their safe sanctuaries preaching their latest end time scenarios to comfort demanding church attenders.
- The great tribulation that western comfy Christians face today is the pandemic shut your services down orders from irreverent politicians, and what price will they pay for not obeying said politicians, if they disobey.
Folks, please, do not insult the intelligence or experiences of our brothers and sisters living in real harms way every day.
How may predictions [prophecies] about the great tribulation and rapture have come to pass in the last 200 years? Zero!
How may predictions [prophecies] about the great tribulation and rapture have come to pass in the last 100 years? Zero!
How may predictions [prophecies] about the great tribulation and rapture have come to pass in the last 50 years? Zero!
How may predictions [prophecies] about the great tribulation and rapture have come to pass in the last 20 years? Zero!
How may predictions [prophecies] about the great tribulation and rapture have come to pass in the last 10 years? Zero!
How may predictions [prophecies] about the great tribulation and rapture have come to pass in the last 5 years? Zero!
Why is that?
Could it be the great tribulation is in our past, not our future?
Receive and steward God’s passion, power, presence, priority, process, promises, protection, provision, pruning, purging, purity, and purpose!
