Michelle Obama, “Don’t let anyone ever tell you that this country isn’t great.”

Is America great? To whom is it great? What makes anything or anyone great?

These are all great questions!

Jesus defined greatness, at least for His kingdom and His kingdom citizens, as servanthood that elevates those being served to their rightful place.

“26  Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. 27 And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave — 28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”

This is right after He busts the “rulers” of His day for lording it over the people!

Jesus had a lot to say about these “lords” and the most damning statements came after His resurrection and revelation to John the beloved disciple.

Revelation 2:6,15 – “6 But this you have, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. 15 Thus you also have those who hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate”

For a very short explanation suffice it to know that the Nicolaitans were “leaders” who used their leadership to stifle the prophetic purpose of the people they were “leading”.

Jesus was commending the church in Ephesus because like Him they hated the deeds of the Nicolatians. To the church in Pergamos Jesus had “this against them”, which was their tolerance of the doctrine of the Nicolaitans.

Nicolaitans – Nike – to triumph over, to vanquish & laity – the people.

Jesus hates the deeds of people who are called to lead people to greatness who use their position and power to vanquish them.

Now, maybe it is not clear to you who fits these descriptions in our present governmental representatives & in our Presidential race, but it is abundantly clear to me.

So –

What is not great about America is her leaders believe they are our masters and we are their servants when what our country was founded on was the belief on Jesus’s definition of greatness.

Our founders, flaws and all, become poor, giving up their wealth & lives to serve so that those they served could become rich. That is a Biblical theme if I ever saw it.

Now in America, our “leaders” do not give up their lives & wealth to go serve us they enslave us so that they can get elected to become rich. And they are getting VERY rich off of us, their servants.

Make America great again is not a swipe at the greatness of America. It is a swipe against the people and policies that create an unfair playing field with distinct rules for playing the game of life.

America is a place where the elected people are servants for the people not the people being servants to the elected officials.

So –

Life is not great for our vets who are dying waiting on appointments to see doctors.

Life is not great for the 20% of American households that have ZERO people in the workforce.

Life is not great for the nearly 100 million people not working.

Life is not great for the 38% of working age Americans without work.

Life is not great for the nearly 110,000,000, or 35% of our citizens, who are presently on welfare.

Life is not great for those who lost their jobs and had to train their foreign replacements.

Life is not great for all the hardworking Americans who are barely making it week to week and who no longer have insurance because they cannot afford the Affordable Care Act.

Life is not great when the tax burden is so great the average worker has to work till June just to pay all the taxes levied against them.

Life is not great for those enslaved in poverty because they have been lied to by politicians for generations who promise them the world but keep them on their plantation.

Life is not great for the hard working people who watch their hard earned money given to people who believe we owe it to them as they live irresponsibly expecting a hand out not a hand up.

Life is not great when politicians and their unelected staff can break laws with impunity and you and I get the book thrown at us.

Life is not great when people of faith are told to stand down, are mocked for their faith and told they have no say in the life of America.

I could go on and on and on!

America is great but what is happening to her and to so many of her citizens is not great. That is what Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders have been hammering home.

Bernie is now burning his own supporters with his support for Hillary!

Donald Trump is now carrying the torch to right the wrongs and set this country back on the course to level the playing field and bring opportunity back to everyone who will be responsible with the opportunities that are forthcoming after he is elected.

To me, he fits more closely Jesus’ description of what leadership looks like. Jesus is the only perfect leader and He was murdered so don’t even bring up Mr. Trumps obvious flaws!

Hillary, the woman who believes she is the standard bearer for women’s rights doesn’t even pay her female staff equal pay for equal work. Mr. Trump does!

Hillary, the women who says she is the candidate who represents black citizens champions an organization that was established to kill black babies in the womb and today is killing more black babies than any other ethnicity – “because they are an inferior people”.

Hillary, who left the White House “broke” is now one of the 1% she rails against. She has not worked for her wealth but Donald Trump has.

What will America look like under a Hillary presidency? What it looks like now, only worse.

What will America look like under a Trump presidency? The jury is still out but if what he has accomplished with his private companies is any indication then America and Americans can expect their lives to get a tremendous upgrade! People who attempt great things have some great failures and people who never attempt anything never do anything wrong!

For those willing to be intellectually honest watch Clinton Cash and Hillary’s America then weigh what you believe against the choices before us today.

What kind of America do you want? It is your choice and the choices you make will make the America you and I will have to live in.
