Christmas Responsibility

Mary, the mother of Jesus is to be honored but never worshiped. The Church, like Mary, carries the Christ [the anointed, anointing]. We, like Mary, must guard and nurture the anointing until the end.

Proverbs 31:10-31 speak of a virtuous [pure, courageous and powerful] woman [bride] that gives her husband and family [Christ and the brethren] great pride.

There are many qualities we glean from this bride in Prov 31 but I want to focus on 2 ~

1] V15, 18b – ‘She arises while it is still night [dark]’ and ‘her lamp does not go out at night’ ~~ Darkness does not deter her nor misdirect her. She functions well in the dark. She illuminates the dark, the dark does not extinguish her light.

2] V25b – ‘She smiles at the future’ ~~ She is not fearful of what the future holds because of her intimacy with her husband. She looks with faith to the future knowing she is willing and able to overcome whatever it “out there”.

Christians, the present and future belong to those who will not surrender it to darkness. “Arise, shine for your light has come and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.” Don’t miss what has already been given to you by waiting for it to come in the future.

Get up and get going!!!!

For HIS Glory!
